Compassionate Beauty

I have a friend I call when I'm feeling sorry for myself and I need to get over it.  She tells me that I'm not going to die and she tells me to quit whining.  I love her.  But sometimes, I need a friend who will feel sorry for me, do a little worrying with me, let me wallow a little, and then nurse my feelings into a better condition.  I love her, too.

Jessica is my most compassionate friend.  Her sweet, gentle spirit is calming when things seem out of hand.  She and her fabulous husband are both nurses, and I can't think of a job more suited to either of them.  They have that servant's heart I've written about before, and that's a fine thing for a nurse to have!

Jessica lives out 2Peter 3:8 'To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit'  She's a peacemaker, she tries to see the other side of an argument, she's patient, she's kind, humble, and she's BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful Tupper Super Model!

Does this face look familiar?  If you read the story about the girls in the News and Advance, it should.  This is AJ, and she was being photographed by our girls the same day our girls were getting photographed by the newspaper photographer.  So AJ got photographed by the photographer who was photographing the girls who were photographing AJ!   Get it?

Good thing AJ isn't camera shy, right?  Most women would have run away in horror at all the cameras that were snapping around her that day, but not AJ.  For one thing, as a former model, she's used to being in front of a camera. Her beauty word is CONFIDENCE, and I gotta tell ya, this sassy little lady has got it goin' on!  AJ is a sales representative for Tupperware, and she is confident at her job.  It takes plenty of confidence to do any direct sales, and AJ not only does it, she does it fabulously and successfully!  But selling Tupperware is not the only thing she needs confidence to do.  AJ also stays super-busy with teaching, raising her two children, and hello...WRITING her own cookbook!

AJ reminded us  that confidence is beautiful, when that confidence comes from the One who makes us able. 2 Corinthians 2:12,17-18 "For we are not bold to class or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding.  But we will not boast beyond our measure....17 But he who boasts is to boast in the Lord.  For it is not he who commends himself that is approved, but he whom the Lord commends."
